The Dirty Bird Sandwich

Original Post, Visited February 11, 2020: Aptly named after its own restaurant, The Dirty Bird is the most obnoxiously delicious fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Piled high with 2 fried chicken breasts, an egg, cheese, and bacon on a biscuit, this is your Sunday Hangover Dream (or really any day, since today is Tuesday). The staff is friendly and fast - in fact, she had timing down to the minute (“I’ll bring it out to you in about 12 minutes”). However, I didn’t count, because it is worth the wait and the calories.

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Summer 2023 Update: I did go again more recently, and once again the sandwich did not disappoint. I went basic this time, just a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was of course served up fast once again, delivered hot and delicious and creamy. See for yourself!

The only downside to trying something at Dirty Bird, is that the hours are kind of a crapshoot. It’s supposed to be open from 11am - 4pm Tues-Sat, but take that with a grain of salt. When it’s open, the town talks about it, and you’ll most likely run into someone you know walking into the shop.

Rating: 10/10 I will go again.
